Studio JL® is the independent design practice of Joe Lee, a Los Angeles based creative director working across cultural and commercial disciplines. The studio specializes in identity systems, printed matter, moving image, and creative direction, creating work for brands, organizations, and individuals.

With a practice informed by experience at Nike Global Brand Design and Doubleday & Cartwright, he approaches each project through storytelling, typography, and visual systems. Joe is especially interested in opportunities across fashion, music, hospitality, action sports, skate, and surf culture, bringing a thoughtful and collaborative approach to work that feels purposeful, special, and relevant.
